Tour Route: Colombo – Kandy – Nuwara Eliya – Yala – Hikkaduwa – Colombo

On this day unwind at your accommodation after waking up in the center of Kandy. You will see the Royal Botanical Garden and Sri Dalanda Maligawa also known as the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic during your Kandy city tour. There’s a Kandyan fire dance performance in the evening.
You will head directly to Nuwara Eliya popularly referred to as Little England on the third day of travel. You will hike through the forest and to the summit of Ambuluwawa at the Biodiversity Complex. You can enjoy Kitulgala White Water Rafting if that’s your preference (optional). A tea plantation a manufacturing facility and the Ramboda waterfall are also on your itinerary. Known for its Ceylon tea Sri Lanka has been a source of happiness for people all over the world for more than a century. As you arrive Nuwara Eliyass colonial ambience cottage-style homes and crisp winter air welcome you.
You could either relax at the hotel or spend the mornings at Horton Plain National Park. While you’re in Sri Lanka you should visit Horton Plains one of the country’s most breathtaking World Heritage Sites. Moreover, guests can play golf on the 18-hole Nuwara Eliya Golf Club course or go on a boat safari at Gregory Lake.
Day 5, get out early and head to Yala a region well-known for its elephant and leopard populations. This is one of the most popular wildlife parks in Sri Lanka where guests can see nearly every species of animal that lives there. On the way to Yala, you’ll stop at Ella City and the Ravana waterfall. In addition in the afternoon, you will go on a Jeep safari at Yala National Park.
In the afternoon you will travel to either Bentota Beach or Hikkaduwa. You can take a quick look at the wreck and get some beautiful images of a stilt fisherman. You can also find the Sea Turtle Hatchery project and the Galle Dutch fortress which was initially constructed by the Portuguese in the sixteenth century and later rebuilt during the Dutch Colonial era in the seventeenth century. The Galle Dutch fortress now designated as a UNESCO World Historical site in Sri Lanka is the best fortification constructed by European occupiers in Asia.
You are welcome to join in beach activities throughout these two days! You may also welcome the option to dive and snorkel and enjoy the views.
You will then leave and bid farewell to your vacation!
